The Worst Piece of Shit Excuse for a Human in American Government
I’ve never been a fan of Clarence Thomas. However, on Friday, I think he may have elevated himself to the scum de la scum of fucking horrible people.
According to selected quotes at Slate, Thomas’ reasons for dissenting against gay-marriage provide an insight that staggers the mind of even the barely educated.
First, let’s start with this kernel:
“[Homosexuals] have been able to travel freely around the country, making their homes where they please. Far from being incarcerated or physically restrained, petitioners have been left alone to order their lives as they see fit.”
Sure, Judge. Just ask Matthew Shepard or any of the fine people of Laramie, WY, how well that’s gone. Or the roughly 1,200+ LGBT hate crime victims (that we know of) per annum between 2010 and 2013. Dickhead.
So, based on this logic, because of this overwhelming freedom gays have had, they don’t need to have marriage, or to have a ban against it made illegal. (Don’t try to go down the rabbit hole of quadruple negatives needed to sort out this rationale.)
But wait, there’s more. Before we pursue any more fun, let’s take a little dictionary break. The word du jour is “dignityâ€.

Now, let’s continue with some additional gems Justice Thomas had to share.
“…human dignity cannot be taken away by the government. Slaves did not lose their dignity… because the government allowed them to be enslaved.”
Really? Who do think felt more dignified: the slave who watched his wife get raped by his owners, or the raped woman who got to watch her child be auctioned off? Maybe the grandfather who defenselessly watched slaveholders enslave younger generations onto slave ships in the first place? Know what? I’m not even going to catalogue a list of sarcastic hypotheticals. Let’s just list all of the things that are dignifying about being a slave.

“Those held in internment camps did not lose their dignity because the government confined them.”
Sure, Mr. Tanaka, you and your family are all American citizens, especially your children who were born here. But, y’all need to just stay in this prison until the war’s over. And you won’t be needing that house anymore. Thanks for your property, and enjoy your stay, you dignified gook traitor.
“And those denied governmental benefits certainly do not lose their dignity because the government denies them those benefits.”
Why just last week, I saw a parade of war vets cheering about how much they thought their government appreciated their contributions to the grand USA.
“The government cannot bestow dignity, and it cannot take it away.”
I understand the first part of that sentence, but again, that doesn’t make the second part true by corollary default. Just because it sounds like it may have been in a Whitney Houston song, that doesn’t make it true. Or even sound.
I’d love to see what the public reaction would be if this came from a Congressperson, especially if these thoughts of slave dignity were uttered by a white man.
Maybe Justice Thomas doesn’t know what the word “dignity†actually means. (It would certainly explain his past behavior towards Anita Hill.) Or maybe he’s lost his mental faculties. He’s only been jerking off under that robe since the early 90’s. Either of those would certainly make swallowing the pill of his idiocy more feasible.
Or perhaps Clarence Thomas is just a bad human being, and the worst piece of shit currently working in public office.
Yeah. I have a feeling it’s the last option as well.
